This painting is inspired by a real moment during a first Christmas with a new kitten, when excitement and chaos collided as the tree was being decorated. In a matter of seconds, a tiny kitten launched itself up a chair, leapt into the air, and landed squarely on top of my husband’s head while he was placing the tree topper.

That moment of surprise, laughter, and holiday chaos became the heart of this piece.
