"Colors That Make the Wind" is a 5x5 inch, unframed, acrylic painting on paper. I found an actual tree top at my dad's house once. This tree had been blown over in a storm and all of it had been moved except the top. The large branches had broken off or been removed, so all that was left was the top of the trunk that connected everything. Looking at it, I saw so many colors. I never imagined one section of a tree could hold so much and I was determined to attempt to capture those colors and hold them forever. Because those colors are the colors that make the wind.
