Golden Mushroom is an original hand-painted silk artwork created using layered textile dye and permanent gutta resist in warm gold tones. The surface was first built with an abstract ground of greens and browns, applied in loose, organic strokes to evoke the natural texture of grass and earth.

Over this foundation, golden gutta lines and forms were applied in varying tones of metallic gold and warm yellow-gold, building the structure of mushroom caps, stems, and scattered organic shapes across the composition. The result is both structured and spontaneous—suggesting a natural form emerging from memory rather than direct illustration.

The inspiration came from a single mushroom observed in a backyard—an unexpected moment that never repeated, translated here into textile form.

Once completed, the silk painting was mounted onto a 12x12 canvas and finished in a white floater frame for a clean, modern presentation.
