"Peacock in Bloom" is an original hand-painted silk tapestry celebrating two of nature's most extraordinary displays of color: the magnificent plumage of the peacock and the brilliant blooms of the canna lily.
The lower portion of the composition is devoted to the peacock itself. Layers of richly detailed feathers flow across the silk, revealing subtle transitions of white, bronze, green, and jewel-toned blues before rising to the bird's vivid blue neck and head. Every feather was painted individually, allowing the complexity of the plumage to emerge through thousands of carefully placed brushstrokes.
Above the peacock, large orange canna lily blooms unfold against a softly mottled background of greens and warm earth tones. Their bold forms balance the composition, creating a conversation between two subjects that refuse to compete and instead elevate one another.
This painting was created over the course of nearly six months, allowing every layer of color and detail to develop gradually. The result is a statement piece that rewards close viewing while commanding attention from across the room.

About the Artwork
I create artwork because I believe art should be lived with, not hidden away.
Peacocks have long represented beauty, confidence, and self-expression. Pairing one with blooming canna lilies—flowers that have inspired many of my paintings and textile designs—allowed me to explore the relationship between two subjects that are unapologetically bold. Rather than competing for attention, they amplify one another, creating a composition filled with movement, richness, and color.
Every inch of this silk painting was created by hand, transforming flowing fabric into a lasting work of fine art.
