Process

This print was created by manually scratching and carving into a plexiglass plate to build the image structure.

Sandpaper was used to develop the background surface, building tonal variation and atmospheric texture.

Once the plate was fully developed, oil-based ink was applied to the surface and carefully transferred onto cotton paper using traditional printmaking pressure techniques.

The result is a layered intaglio print where line, texture, and tone are physically embedded into the image rather than drawn on top of it.
